M249 for Roblox Studio
FN M249 SAW, 5.56. A 100 round belt: hold the trigger and keep the other team's heads down. The M249 is one of 59 weapons that come free with XSF, a gun system and FPS framework for Roblox Studio.
Default values in XSF 2.3.0. Damage is out of 100 health.
How it plays
Against the default 100 health it takes 2 body shots and 1 head shot to drop a player. At 7.5 kg it is one of the heavier rifles, so it swings slower when you turn and takes longer to settle. Bullets are real projectiles: they take time to arrive, drop over distance, lose speed and can go through thin walls and wood. The server re-simulates every shot.
How to add the M249 to your Roblox game
Install XSF first (about three minutes, see how to add guns to Roblox Studio). The M249 is already in the download as ReplicatedStorage.XSF.Weapons.M249. Then pick one of these:
Everyone spawns with it. Put it in Loadout in XSF.GameConfig:
Loadout = { "M249", "G17", "M67" },
Give it from a script, for a shop, a class picker or a level reward:
local XSF = require(game.ServerScriptService.XSF.Server) XSF.Give(player, "M249")
Drop it on the map as a pickup players grab with F:
XSF.SpawnPickup("M249", workspace.LootSpot.CFrame)
Give it to an NPC: set an attribute named XSF_Weapon to "M249" on any Humanoid model.
Want different numbers? Change damage, fire rate, ammo, bullet speed or recoil on the website dashboard without code, or in the gun's own Config in Studio.
